This is the image "bliss" which was used as the default wallpaper for microsoft xp. this image was taken in 1996, and is thought to be one of the most viewed images in history. the image is speculated to have been viewed 50 billion times. 50 billion. a place that exists in the real world, yet when put inside the xp, this image suddenly is distorted beyond any recognition of being a real place you could walk to, and sure you can see the original, see the place on google maps, but really, when you view the image, what feeling do you get. besides the infernal fear of being trapped and smothered inside the hellish bliss of eternal blue skies and clear green hills that suggest infinity yet pile up into this punch in the face of nothing.
